James Bond: Billie Eilish’s Theme Song For ‘No Time To Die’ Has Left The Internet Divided

Daniel Craig’s James Bond run has been by far the best in terms of acting, cinematography, action choreography, storytelling, and score. In addition to that, his movies have some of the most memorable theme songs out of all the James Bond theme songs. Chris Cornell’s ‘You Know My Name’ was iconic because it reflected the fact that Casino Royale was a gritty reboot. Alicia Keys and Jack White’s ‘Another Way To Die’ was synonymous with Quantum of Solace‘s theme of revenge. Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ was just ethereal in every shape and form, just like the movie. Sam Smith ‘Writings on the Wall’ was eh! And now it’s Billie Eilish to script history.

Every single bit of promotional material that has come out of No Time To Die has been exciting AF. From Daniel Craig returning for another go to the involvement of Cary Fukunaga, casting Ana De Armas, Rami Malek, Billy Magnussen, and rumours about Lashana Lynch becoming the next 007 has piqued my interest like no other film coming out this year. And the makers have topped all that information with the news of Eilish writing and composing the theme of Craig’s last tango as Bond.

Here’s what Eilish had to say about her involvement in No Time To Die:

“It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock.”

Now, given how Eilish is a Grammy nominated singer, I was clearly excited. However, a trip through internet told me that people are divided about this decision.

According to CNN, Eilish is the youngest artist to write and perform a theme song for a James Bond and, in my opinion, that’s something. She has grown up watching these movies and now is going to be an integral part. Think about that! I mean, I simply can’t wait for No Time To Die to come out and be blown away by what Eilish crafted for us Bond fans.
