Maharashtra’s gold-silver loot in Haryana, Sanyukta Kale quintet in gymnastics

Panchkula: – Maharashtra players continue to earn gold and silver medals in the ongoing Khelo India competition at Panchkula in Haryana. On the fifth day, the players won ten gold, six silver and two bronze medals. These include sports like badminton, wrestling, athletics, kabaddi, cycling etc. Sanyukta Kale won gold in Rhythmic Gymnastics General All Instruments and Gold in Individual Best Gymnastics at Khelo India Youth Games. Haryana (23 gold, 21 silver and 19 bronze medals) is second and Maharashtra is first in the medal table. Maharashtra has won 24 gold, 24 silver and 19 bronze medals.

Maharashtra has maintained its dominance over Tau Devi Lal Stadium from day one. In badminton, Darshan Pujari defeated Ritwik Sanjeev of Tamil Nadu.
In Kabaddi, the boys team lost the gold medal and lost by 19 points to Haryana. The boys team won the bronze medal.In track cycling, Mangesh Takimge and Pooja Danole also bagged silver medals in the same category.
In Athletics, Aniket Mane (2.07 min. Haroli Kolhapur) won the gold medal while Aryan Patil (Utekhol, Raigad) won the silver medal in the same event (2.). In the girls category, Avantika Narale from Wadgaon Sheri (Pune) bagged the silver medal.
In wrestling, the last fight was between 51 kg freestyle Narsingh Patil Suvarna (Kolhapur) and Rohit Patil (Kolhapur).
In the girls’ 49 kg category, Shinde won a bronze medal. Shubham Patil of Kolhapur won gold medal in 65 kg freestyle. Sanket Patil (Kolhapur) won bronze medal in 71 kg category. Overall, the wrestlers from Maharashtra won the arena of Khelo India in Haryana.

The undisputed dominance of the Sanyukta Kale

On the third day, Sanyukta Kale of Maharashtra proved its undisputed supremacy by winning five gold medals in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Maharashtra’s Kimya Carley won one silver, one bronze and Nishika Kale won one silver and one bronze medal, proving that Maharashtra is incomparable in rhythmic gymnastics.
Maharashtra won two silver and three bronze medals in Artistic Gymnastics. He won five gold, two silver and two bronze medals in rhythmic gymnastics. Samyukta Kale won a gold medal in Rhythmic Gymnastics General Athletics at Khelo India Youth Games and a gold medal in individual best gymnastics competition. Sanyukta Kale is practicing in Thane under the guidance of Mansi Surve.
